Characterized by having warm and calm waters, this lagoon is an old meander of the Ucayali River created by the change of its course.

The Yarinacocha Lagoon is formed thanks to the Ucayali River and has an area of 1,340 hectares. On its banks there is a group of the Shipibo-Conibo ethnic group inhabited by 3,000 inhabitants.
